AIPS permission denied

I was using aips on a post processing node and an open aips session was not exited before the time on the node expired.  I have a new node now but when I log in and start aips I get a "Permission denied, please try again" message.  Please advise on how I can get aips to work properly and if a process on another node is still running and how to stop that process.
