couple of problems.

i'm using the residual Q,U images from RMFIT and want to run them 
through FARS.

first problem is that if i run dofars on this, it runs trans, even 
though the FQID axis is first.  it uses transc '312' which of course 
doesn't produce useful output.

second problem is if i just try to run fars directly.  then i get the 
following error message.
