Hi Gisela!

I am so sorry I forgot about your e-mail with this question.  The primary beam attenuation is not corrected during correlation, so you have to do it afterwards.

You can use the VLA parameters as an estimate of the VLBA ones.  It depends how accurate you want to be.  I thought there were some measured primary beam  constants for the VLBA, but I cannot find them.  I will ask around and get back to you.  Not that tasks like JMFIT also allow a primary beam correction.
