I withdraw this MNJ part, I'm using a private version of AIPS with a 
SETJY dated Dec 2 2014. This file has one subband (I SPLAT one out of 
50), 1 full pol channels (AVSPC to 1 out of 64), 0.35s integrations 
for about 8 mins on J1331+3030/3C286 - header below (data under userno 
6 in /lustre/aoc/projects/baade/AIPS_2) I had not seen it fail before 
I splat 1 subband, it worked fine on 50 subbands on calibrators only.
