I agree that you want to reweight all the data that is passed to the outputfile.  However, I would have assumed that BIF, 
BCH etc would have been used to select data, so only that selected data is passed to the output, so you might have less data (fewer channels, IFs) on output than on input but they would all be reweighted.   One might for example, only be interested
in some SPW's/IFs or want to just throw out the end channels and not use them for anything.  This can of course still be done after REWAY, so its not really a problem.
