To delete all AIPS source code files

cd $AIPS_ROOT
"/bin/rm" -rf *

There are control files and data files which are not required to be in 
the directory tree below $AIPS_ROOT, but which are frequently placed 
there.  If you put them elsewhere (mine are spread over 4 local disks 
while $AIPS_ROOT is on a file server), then you will need to find them 
and delete them separately.
