Dear whosoever it may concern,

        I am using AIPS version 2014 to analyze my HI line data. If I give cparm(1)=1257927.8, cparm(5)=1.420E+09 cparm(6)=405752, it shows in message is as below : 
 
  CVEL 1: Velocity type is heliocentric
  CVEL 1: Velocity definition is OPTICAL
  CVEL 1: Rest frequency =      1420.405762 MHz
  CVEL 1: Ref. pixel for new velocity is   221.00
  CVEL 1: New velocity at given pixel is  1257.9277 km/s

 The rest frequency as I gave, it should be 1420.405752 but it shows 1420.405762.  Any idea, if the change at 5th decimal place i.e ...752 becomes ..762, is due to some error in CVEL or some other reason ?
