I looked more closely at the FQ table output for the input
file to NOIFS.  Your data consist of  4 groups of 16 spectral
windows of regularly gridded data, but each group overlaps
the previous group.  The overlap causes 3 of your channels
to be averaged between the two overlapped IFs.  With 3 overlaps
the 512 becomes 503.  NOIFS is working correctly it seems.
