The RUN command is done at the job control level, not inside AIPS.
Inside AIPS RUN means something completely different.
1. Get an xterm window or some other kind of terminal window
2. cd $AIPS_ROOT
3. source LOGIN.csh (or .LOGIN.SH)
4. RUN FILAIP
8 2
5. RUN POPSGN
0 POPSDAT TST
and another Enter
6. Then try "aips tv=local"
