It would be very hard to make IMAGR go parallel.  OBIT offers parallel 
imaging capability and AIPS will provide access to this if you have OBIT 
installed.  It is easy to do that on Linux systems (not Macs). 
Otherwise, CASA is working on this and has had some success.
