If you ask for 1.0 sec then you get sampls at 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 1.0 
all <= 1.0 sec from the start.  It is best to ask for 0.9sec.  The 0.25 
(and there should be others at 0.5, 0.75 and even 1.0) are the 
left-overs from scan boundaries or perhaps flagging.
