You have me baffled - if PP.EXE is in /Users/aips/31DEC12/MACINT/SYSTEM/CFA
and is executable, then PP.EXE should be found by the PP procedure.

Nothing else makes sense.  If you have a PP.EXE in the directory in 
which you are running install.pl you might consider renaming it...
