New Ticket: malloc problem
for eric. new binary distribution of 31DEC11, running FRING, standard ECSO observations from last march. only have about 2 mins of data on 3C286 and running it on that. keep getting:
FRING2: Dividing data by source flux densities
FRING2(54734) malloc: *** mmap(size=1244823552) failed (error code=12)
*** error: can't allocate region
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
FRING2: ZMEMRY: MEMORY ALLOCATION FAILS AT FRNSOL
FRING2: FRNSOL: UNABLE TO GET NEEDED MEMORY, reduce SOLINT
FRING2: OR USE A BIGGER OR LESS BUSY COMPUTER
FRING2: Purports to die of UNNATURAL causes
changed SOLINT, TIMER, etc., down as much as i could (to a single integration) and kept getting that problem. machine has 24 GB RAM. rebooted to be sure no rogue program was consuming memory. same problem.
ran it with 31DEC10, which i compiled from scratch on my machine (planets), with the IBM compiler, and it runs just fine.
