New Ticket: CALREF: CANNOT RELATE ANTENNA ? TO ? IN SUBARRAY ?

Hello!

I tried to execute task 'fring' for my dataset of 4 antennas. Reference antenna is antenna № 3. The task executed successful:

LOCALH> FRING1: Found 11212 good solutions
LOCALH> FRING1: Failed on 3052 solutions
LOCALH> FRING1: Adjusting solutions to a common reference antenna
LOCALH> FRING1: CALREF: CANNOT RELATE ANTENNA 2 TO 3 IN SUBARRAY 1
LOCALH> FRING1: Some solutions were not adjusted to the common
LOCALH> FRING1: reference antenna. This may be because one or more
LOCALH> FRING1: antennas were not used. Check your data before
LOCALH> FRING1: proceeding.
LOCALH> FRING1: Appears to have ended successfully

but I got a message:
FRING1: CALREF: CANNOT RELATE ANTENNA 2 TO 3 IN SUBARRAY 1.

I have already found an explanation of this messsage (but for my dataset reference antenna is antenna 3, not 2):

" What thios means is that the zero of phase (one antenna has
to be 0.0 since phase is always phase1-phase2) for antenna 2 cannot be
set to match those of the other antennas. It probably means that
antenna 2 only occurs a little bit - but it should probably be deleted.
The message means that there are times for which antenna 2 was used in
the solution as the reference but the desired reference antenna did not
occur. I suppose this could happen with editing to cause antenna 2 to
occur at odd times wrt to the other antennas. In any case, it is a real
problem and needs to be addressed.
Eric Greisen"

But I want to understand, how can I solve this problem. When I used other antennas as a refernce antenna there were the same messages, but their number was more. So antenna 3 is the best choise as a reference antenna. So my question: can I solve this problem during the analyzing of the dataset, or such problems occur during the observations (maybe on the correlator) and I can't do anything?

Yours sincerely,
Alina.
