I talked to our Mac expert and he said the problem is that the Mac screens are too big and there is not enough shared memory, here is what he suggests:

OK best bet may be

kern.sysv.shmmax=16777216

If that fails... then

kern.sysv.shmmax= 25165824
kern.sysv.shmall=6144

Also, I notice that you tried to subscribe to daip at nrao.edu, you don't really want to get these messages they are just bug reports for us.
