New Staff Reply: AIPS compilation error when increasing channel limit

I am suspecting your compilers

We use

/opt/intel/Compiler/11.0/074/bin/intel64/icc

/opt/intel/fce/10.1.021/bin/ifort

on our 64-bit master Linux box.

On our 32-bit machine we use older versions

/opt/intel/cc/9.1.047/bin/icc

/opt/intel/fc/9.1.043/bin/ifort

I wonder if gcc is somehow making a .o file that the intel
ifort is not linking properly.  Might you have icc available?
And, of course, it is our experience that some versions of
almost all compilers have failure modes of various sorts.
