I have discovered the source of Rick's troubles.  The damn
x.i
command causes the script to pause waiting for a carriage return from 
the terminal even when it occurs in a script.  Can this be fixed?
The script used to work without requiring a carriage return...
Perhaps the script is now longer with more parameters and more inputs to 
appear in x.i?

I will remove x.i from the script.  It is not in the verb since it 
causes the whole thing to fail.
