The idea (1) was simply to do PUTHEAD - REGRD assumes that the header is 
correct and I am assuming that with NCP values of U and V it really isn't.

I am more surprised that the 2nd did not work - I guess I should take a 
harder look at what you sent although I am short of time right now.
