How do you know that?  DISKU with USERID=32000 is really quite complete.

cd to the data area
ls -l *.uuu\;
where uuu is the user number in extended hexadecimal.

I really need more information in order to tell what is going on.

Did you just move data from a Mac PPC or SUN solaris box to an Intel 
Linux or Mac for example?  Byte order differs between those 2 so the 
user would not be visible...  Such data must be translated by REBYTE.
