First, please use daip at nrao.edu for questions about aips.  An alert 
system manager found your e-mail in some "abuse" folder!

Second, I have indeed left out a close parenthesis - the line with 
/x86_64/ should be        } elsif ($mach =~ /x86_64/) {
I am fixing this on our web site but you could easily edit the file to 
correct your copy.
