New Staff Reply: REBYTE interchanged real and imaginary, I think.

Indeed, compressed UV data was forgotten.  I have added a test for this
format and code to walk through the mix of floating point random
parameters and integer*2 data values so that the word swap does not
happen to the data.

Fixed in tomorrow's MNJ.
