New Staff Reply: ACCOR vs. DiFX-correlated data

The digital correction is not correction of the hardware of correlator.
It is correction of hardware of digitizing during the the recording of
the signals at the antennas. Although some parameters of a correllator
participate. The digital correction (implemented at AIPS task FITLD)
is based on the ideal digitizers: ideal zero line for the 1 bit digitizer;
ideal and stable in time second level of the 2 bit digitizer.....
ACCOR is correction of the non ideality of the digital correction.
ACCOR algorithm is based on the theory: the deviation (for example)
of the levels in digitizers effects equally auto and cross correlation.
