[daip] xas and the mac

On the mac with leopard or snow leopard (10.5 and 10.6) you should NEVER set DISPLAY=localhost:0. Your best option is to open a new window and try it again. 10.5 and 10.6 use something call lauchd to handle X11 which is quite a bit different than linux.
