New Ticket: UVCON, UVPLT, UVPRT & FITAB

Hello.
I have run UVCON on a simulated map (2048*2048, 1415 MHz) to simulate VLA-C observations.

I have the plotted the uv-coverage using UVPLT (see attached file uvplt.tiff), and extracted the uvdata from AIPS using both UVPRT and FITAB. I have then plotted the uv-coverage using the extracted uvdata, and I get a plot in which u goes from ~ -8 kilo_Lamda to ~ 16 kilo_Lambda (see uv.tiff). For v, everything is fine. Note that:

a) the files extracted both with FITAB and UVPRT contains all the visibilities of the original uv file inside AIPS (1512459 visibilities)

b) the problem is not in the program used to do the plot, since the output of FITAB has u values in the range -8 - 16 kilo_Lambda.

If I run UVPLT with parameters 6,3,0, I get the attache plot u_base.tiff

I have used AIPS 31DEC10 and I attach the parameters used in the different tasks here in the following.
