I suspect that the 32 Mbytes of RAM may be a serious limitation.  AIPS 
does do dynamic memory allocation of the pseduo array processor and you 
can limit how much it will try for (SETMAXAP) but that is more than 
order of magnitude less than we are used to these days (~ 1 Gbyte is 
normal).
