2) You need to source LOGIN.CSH and then $CDTST to run INSTEP2 by 
itself.  The subroutine that failed to compile is not actually used so 
comment out ZSACPT.C in the list and try again.

BUT - do you plan to develop AIPS programs yourself?  If not, it would 
be better to use the binary installation:
      perl install.pl -n
in which case you do not depend on local compilers.

If this still fails - send mail to daip at nrao.edu (I will be away on 
vacation) and let us know your operating system (in detail) and info 
about your compilers.  NULL should be really well known.
