[daip] advanced WIPER?

Hi,

Attached is a UVPLT showing a not-uncommon visibility plot from
4-meter VLA data. Similar plots can be made for 2-meter GMRT and
1-meter VLA data. The tedium of RFI identification and excision is a
severe drag on the utility of these systems, as it is common to look
at every baseline (e.g., in SPFLG), and even then not get out all of
the RFI. A couple of us were staring at this plot and wondering about
an advanced WIPER.

The concept would be to have a WIPER-like display, but one of the
options would be to be able to step through the baselines and identify
them. Even better would be the capability to flag on a baseline basis
directly from WIPER. I believe that difmap's 'radplot' has similar
functionality, but difmap has other aspects that are less appealing
than AIPS.

Is this a possibility? Thanks,

-- Joe
