So both of these data sets could have had the weights properly
calibrated - but I bet you did not set DOCAL=2 with the D array data.

But these weights are contrary to what you said about the C array data
not adding any high resolution to your image.  I would have predicted
the reverse for the weights given that statement.  The best thing to
do would be to go back and run SPLIT with DOCAL=2 in your version of
AIPS.  You could run DBCON with REWEIGHT set in some way - an
approximation but better than nothing.  But I worry about the
resolution issue which suggests you may not be understanding the PRTUV
output correctly.
