The source of the trouble I suspect, is the conversion of Stokes which
you have asked DBCON to carry out.  It attempts to convert the 2nd
file to true Stokes to match the first file and I bet it gets it
wrong.  Try some other task to copy the 2nd file converting the stokes
and then try dbcon.  (SPLIT with STOKES='IQUV' perhaps)

Meanwhile I will try to see why DBCON makes a hash of this.  NOte that
on my machine I get a different result than the DBCONed file you sent
me.  I use the old gnu compiler for myself so if it is going after
random places, different compilers could make different results.
