[daip] XAS server is not working

Dear Help,

i have just installed AIPS on my new toshiba satellite running fedora  
core 7. i initially tried a text installation, but there was a problem  
with the XAS, so i did a binary installation.  when i go to start up  
AIPS there is a problem with starting up the windows.  i get the  
following message below:

we have tried:
1. changing the color resolution (its already 24 not 16)
2. ran the loopback script

can you suggest anything else i can try to get this working
