[daip] aips07 on external hard drive

Hello, I was trying to install Aips07 on an external hard drive (USB
drive). This has some advantages when working in different places.
Will Aips become very slow? Do you advise against that?
Anyway, it didn't work because I got the message below.
chmod -R a+rwx didn't help here.
