[daip] sick disk

I had an external disk fail and it has been partially
restored. Many of the map files can be read. ( restoration
done by Jeff Goldin).

I cannot seem to access some of the uvfiles. They produce errors like
this- it is quite possible that the uvfiles are corrupted after
the disk failure.

Any suggestions ? thanks
miller
