i have recently installed aips on my laptop using the binary installation
method. after working out various problems i was finally able to get it
running, but now i can't get the tv to start. the tksrv and mssrv start
fine. i have made sure that i am running in 24 bit color mode. i am
running on ubuntu 6.10. any advice?
shown below is what aips spits out when i login.
also, how can i get around having to type in . ./login.sh every time i
restart my pc? if i don't type that i get a command unknown error when i
try to start aips using 'aips tv=local'.
thanks
mike
