The FITS file you sent is perfectly legitimate..  It is an EVENTS
table from an X-ray telescope.  We do not have the software to convert
it into an image.  This table lists every photon (what a concept to a
radio astronomer!) and where it hit and when.  Chandra must have lots
of software to convert it to an image.  ds9 may well have had that
software added to it too.  I would consider getting such for us too if
provoded with an adequate description.
