I do not know about 3.4.5 - I suspect it is okay as 3.4.3 abd 3.4.4
are fine.

Nore that we have Intel binary version available that runs 30-40%
faster on PIVs and 10% faster on AMDs than the GNU code.  The only
limit is that you cannot compile/link aips code locally.

The binary installation is easy - copy only install.pl and then
 
        perl install.pl -n
