[daip] advice on Linux version for AIPS

I believe that AIPS works on all versions of Linux, some perhaps
better than others.  We clearly have some problem with Enterprise
affecting interupts, XWindows and the AIPS TV.  I do believe that that
is not a problem in the AIPS code but in the OS.  If you compile aips
locally then yopu must have a compiler that works on your system - but
most people now take AIPS in binary form since that usually runs
faster than the GNU-compiled modules.

I have not been told of a Linux on which AIPS does not work.  There
are problems with setting up the links to the TV sometimes but that is
an installation issue not a flavor of OS issue.
