Hi Eric,

It's true that V(-u,-v)=V*(u,v), but that does not make the visibility 
symmetric to reflection about the Y axis as implied by your statement.  A 
plot going from +Umax to -Umax does not look the same as one going from 
-Umax to +Umax.
