Charles,

The following is an analysis of your FILM problem which I carried out yesterday before
you discovered the pointing error mode.

You write at the morning message:
>So perhaps FILLM finds that some of my science/calibration data is not yet on
>source.

Yes, I arrive to the same conclusion (see the following analysis

John,

I think the scans are skipped because the slew time from the previous
source end to the skipped source exceeds
the skipped scan interval:.

The skipped scans are always 1331+305 scheduled after 3C274. This fact
simplifies the explanation:

I found only one no skipped 1331+305 (#70) scan following 3c264 (#69)
Looking in your attached list I see that scan #70 starts at 17:32:50
and FILLM finds it at 17:36:10
The following scan #71 starts later: at 17::37:20

Therefore the slew time from 3c264 to 1331+305 is equal
17:36:10-17:32:50 = 3:20

All skipped scans have shoter intervals!!!!

#34     16:21:30-16:18:30= 3:00;
#106 18:48:40-18:51:50=3:10,
#142 20:07:00-20:04:00 =3:00
#175 21:23:30-21:20:20 =3:10

So I think the data do not have the skipped scans. They are skipped
because they are too short to exceed the slew time from the previous
source!!!! :)

I want to here your and other AIPS people before sending this
consideration to the suffered side (Padget)

Leonia
