[daip] binary installation problem

Hi Eric,

I installed the binary version of 31DEC06 on a machine that had a
working text installation of 31DEC05 and can't seem to get AIPS to run
now. I downloaded the latest install.pl and put it in the $AIPS_ROOT area.
I edited my old .AIPSRC to point the CCOMOPT to 31DEC06:
CCOMOPT = 31DEC06 (I also originall had CCOMOPT = /cairo/usr/local/AIPS/31DEC06)

I deleted the DOWNLOADED and UNPACKED lines in the .AIPSRC file then ran
perl install.pl -n hitting return since all the parameters were defined as
I wanted. At the end the installation of the MNJ failed, error:

MAKE.BMNJ - Your configuration for the AIPS midnight job is complete.
AipsWiz: Not good; no
/cairo/usr/local/AIPS/31DEC06/LINUX/SYSTEM/HOME/UPDCONFIG found; did
MAKE.BMNJ fail?
AipsWiz: You should investigate this.

and the next failure I see is:

Starting up FILAIP (RELEASE OF 31DEC06)
/cairo/usr/local/AIPS/31DEC06/LINUX/LOAD/FILAIP.EXE: error while loading
shared libraries: libsvml.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory
AipsWiz: FILAIP seems to have run correctly. Now running POPSGN.
AipsWiz: This will show a prompt; don't type anything, as I will
AipsWiz: enter the magic incantations. If it works, you will see
AipsWiz: the message 'Popsgen complete' momentarily...

Data disk assignments:

Starting up POPSGN (RELEASE OF 31DEC06)
/cairo/usr/local/AIPS/31DEC06/LINUX/LOAD/POPSGN.EXE: error while loading
shared libraries: libsvml.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory
AipsWiz: Copying DA00/CAIRO/* files to 31DEC06/LINUX/TEMPLATE/ area
...

When I try to run it it doesn't know what AIPS is:

CAIRO(22:15)_23 source LOGIN.CSH
CAIRO(22:15)_24 aips
aips: Command not found.

Having a look at my environment I see DATA_ROOT isn't defined but the rest
looks ok to me:

I'm not really sure what to do. If I try to run aips new to get the
31DEC05 version it still doesn't know what aips is. I suspect some
parameters didn't get set correctly when I did this but I'm not quite sure
where to look for them. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks,
    								Tracy
