Hi,
I'm running aips (31DEC05) on a MAC laptop. I have had no problems using
aips for the last year or so, but I recently upgraded to OSX 10.4. Now,
when I start aips the TV and message servers crash and I get the following
error message:
TVSERVER: could not get ssslock service by name: Invalid argument
TVSERVER: Check your /etc/services or NIS/YP map
XAS: sssin is not a service
XAS: Check /etc/services or YP/NIS services map
zssslk: tcp/ssslock NOT A SERVICE
XAS: Quitting NOW.
ZVTPO3: tcp/aipsmt0 is not a service
ZVTPO3: check /etc/services or NIS map!
I'm not sure if this is directly related to OSX 10.4, but this is the only
thing I've changed since I last used aips successfully.
Any ideas what this error message means and how to fix this?
Thanks,
Edo
