I have found the bug - a bad coding error. But on Enterprise the pseduo-ap pointer is -33275957 and on RedHat 9 it is +231972811. Neither should have used this number but with min and max functions one of the values was disaterous and the other was more or less ignored. So keep using those older machines and thanks Eric GReisen
