[daip] Moving everything to a new computer

the answer depends on what types the 2 computers are.  If they have
the same byte order (e.g. 2 machines using an Intel or AMD cpu such as
2 Linux systems or a Linux and an Intel Mac) then you can do the copy
trivially - simply copy the data directories wholesale.  (Solaris and
Mac PPC cpus also share the same byte order but opposite of the Intel
and AMD cpus.)

Otherwise you are stuck with FITS files and losing the slice and plot
files that will not go to FITS.  There are run files to help in this:
RUN WRTPROCS defines WRTDISK and READISK which can do wholesale moves.
The catalog orders will be maintained if you are careful.
