Dear colleague
I have a question about spectral line data reduction. As I know, the positions and flux density of the detected maser components (spots) in each channel map were estimated by fitting a two-dimensional Gaussian brightness distribution using the AIPS task SAD or JMFIT. However, this technique did not directly give the parameters of maser features. I want to know whether I can directly obtain the position, brightness and velocity by 3D Gaussian fitting to the data cube in the newest version of AIPS. Thank you!
