[daip] AIPS installation to AMD 64bit/FC3_64 question

To Whom it may concern,

    The 31DEC04 install wizard does not autodetect the architecture of the AMD 64bit (Fedora Core 3 (64 bit)) system on which I am attempting to install AIPS (31DEC04).

    Can I simply define the architecture to be "LINUX" or is there a preferred name? Is 31DEC04 known to install properly to this architecture? I am using the gcc-3.4.4 compilers.
