[daip] Weird error messages in AIPS

Hi!

AIPS has recently begun to give me repetitive error messages after everything I do, including plain carriage returns! When I try to use even simple verbs like
'imhead', the resulting information is displayed interspersed with the 
following:

ZMSGDK: OPER = READ LUN = 12 NREC =      129
 ZFI2: REQUEST FOR BYTES 131073 THRU = 132096 BEYOND EOF = 131072
 ZMSGER: IN ZFI2 ERRNO = 22 (Invalid argument)
MSGWRT ERROR      3 AT WRIT 

Any light you could shed on this rather cryptic message (it's difficult to
diagnose the problem when everything you do results in the same series of
messages :-) would be most welcome! Exiting and re-entering AIPS doesn't do a
thing - the messages keep coming and I haven't the foggiest regarding what they
mean...
