I am every day getting 4 mail messages from your site reporting:

From: linadm at mpia-hd.mpg.de (Linux-Admin)
To: linadm at mpia-hd.mpg.de, aipsmgr at nrao.edu
Subject: aida43/LINUX 20050522.233001 update errors for 31DEC05
Date: Mon, 23 May 2005 01:30:07 +0200

AIPSUPD - COMLNK /usr/local/misc/aips-31dev05/31DEC05/APL/PGM/NOTST/FITTP.FOR
AIPSUPD - failed!

Clearly no one is reading the e-mails addressed to themselves or the
one I sent. The first e-mail failure I received had a long diff of
CHANGE.DOC. With that I would expect a whole bunch of compilations.
But there was an attempt to do only a few and they failed. I am
concerned that (1) a MNJ got marked as okay when it was not so that
compilations have been omitted, (2) that compilation is now failing
for no obvious reason in what I get to see, and (3) that no one is
monitoring these MNJs. (2) may be due to the fact that it is running
as a cron - they evironment in which a cron starts is usually almost
empty compared to the environemnt when the same user starts an
interactive session.

Thoughts, ideas, comments???
