I have tested OGEOM and LGEOM and have found that they do a reasonable
job of shifting an object forward and back. The quality is very much
better if the object is somewhat oversampled and if the support size
(OGEOM) or type of interpolation (LGEOM) is made more time consuming.
I have added prominent comments to this effect in the help files.
They are simple interpolators and to expect great accuracy in
difficult cases is unwise.
