Hi Thomas, I tried double precision and it didn't help, I assume because it really isn't a round off error. I got the line to work with all reals by adding a couple other lines of arithmetic after it, so I don't think there is a rational solution. The best bet is to tone down the optimization, or install a different compiler. Cheers, Amy
