[daip] Problem with teksrv

Not really, but let me make some remarks and ask questions.

The TEKserv is supposed to work by running an xterm with a program in
it.  When TKPL runs for the first time, a second window labeled
TEKSRV(Tek) is supposed to pop up and do the actual display.  I
suspect that you are seeing the Tek commands (above) in the first
window.  Some screen managers attempt to save you environment when you
exit.  The message server and Tek server confuse these
well-intentioned but ignorant screen managers.  What they end up doing
is creating an xterm with the correct label but with no program
running inside - so the services do not actually get performed.

Try typing KLEENEX in aips - which should close all servers.  Then
start aips again and see if the new servers behave better.

What operating system do you have?
