The binary installation is done by downloading the Perl script
install.pl from the 31DEC05 ftp area.  This is pointed to by a variety
of pages - the one for the Mac (I think) as well as the one for
31DEC05.

Then move the file to the directory that you want to be the $AIPS_ROOT
and enter

     perl  install.pl -n

where the -n say by network.  The binaries will be fetched via rsync
from our master,  It is good that you are reading install.shtml as
that will talk you through the other steps of the setup.
